A Yola based Islamic Scholar, Modibbo Bappa Sani Modibbo Zailani has admonished Muslim students to cultivate the habit of memorizing the Holy Qur’an to enable them become good ambassadors of the society.
He made the call during a symposium organized by Muslim Student’s Society of Nigeria, MSSN of Suleiman Ribadu Academy Yola held at the school premises on Sunday.
Sheikh Sani explained that Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him during his lifetime encouraged Muslims parents to ensure their wards memorize the holy Qur’an to qualify them to receive generous reward from Almighty Allah. .
Sheikh Sani added that reciting the holy Qur’an also increases Muslim faith on daily basis hence the need for Muslims to do so as reap bountiful reward, and called on Muslims to fear Allah in all their dealings.
In his remark, Modibbo Nasiru Modibbo Nana who spoke on the topic Building a Strong Muslim Ummah spoke extensively on lifetime of a Muslim youths.
He noted youths are the backbone of the society challenged the MSSN students to desist from engaging themselves with bad friends and avoid youth restiveness.
Modibbo Nasiru Nana appealed to Muslims students to be honest, truthful, peaceful in accordance with the teachings and traditions of Prophet Muhammad.

Earlier in his welcome address, the out gone president of Muslim student Society of Nigeria Sulaimanu Ribadu Academy branch, Malam Sadiq Abubakar said the symposium is been organized annually and urged students to engage in farming and rearing while studying in school, to be good ambassadors of the Muslim ummah.
There were goodwill messages from various dignitaries including Hisbah commandant Yola South local Government Area.
Highlight of the symposium ceremony was presentation of awards of excellence to some dignitaries and certificates to some M.S.S.N members.
